Note from the NEPTN President For the past 27 years, I have owned physical therapy clinics located in Tewksbury and Chelmsford Massachusetts. I have been a member of NEPTN since it was founded in 1992 and have served as the President of the NEPTN Board of Directors for the past 9 years. NEPTN’s mission of promoting private practice physical therapy was the primary reason I chose to join NEPTN. Our organization is focused solely on supporting private practices owners and serving as a resource to help their practice grow and succeed.
NEPTN has supplied my practice with the tools needed to effectively manage my business. Through ongoing owner up-dates and educational sessions, my practice is able to remain compliant with ever-changing state and federal regulations. The Corporate Compliance Plan and HIPAA Manual provided by NEPTN are important administrative tools in my practice. NEPTN also keeps my practice current on Medicare regulations, coding policies, PQRS and payment policies. Another benefit is the credentialing service provided by NEPTN. They manage the credentialing and recredentialing processes for member clinics.
One of the most important and valuable benefits I have received through my affiliation with NEPTN is the open collaboration with colleagues in private practices. The NEPTN Board continually seeks input from members on issues relating to private practices including employee retention, contracting matters and productivity standards. We often invite speakers with specialties in areas our members are interested in learning more about to present at our meetings. Likewise, I have often contacted other owners directly to personally discuss a matter I am dealing with. They are always willing to provide recommendations and feedback. Knowing that I have a close at hand support system in NEPTN and its members helps considerably in navigating the constant changes private practices are facing.
I welcome you to experience the benefit of NEPTN – providing private practice owners with the most current and accurate information specifically relating to their needs.
